Professional natural horse trimming for the barefoot horse. Contrary to what many people think most horses don't need shoes. Shoes restrict the natural contraction and expansion of the hoof thereby decreasing circulation and shock absorption that occurs in the barefoot horse. Once a horse is shod it will become dependent on the shoes and the hoof walls, frogs, and soles will begin to weaken. With proper trimming, adequate turn out and the right nutrition the majority of horses will do just fine without shoes. For appointment or questions call Mike Mallay D.V.M.
