1927 Johnson K-35 6HP Antique Outboard Motor 99% COMPLETE Fresh Water! - $140 (Trigg County)

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Johnson
model name / number: K-35

Here for your consideration is a VERY SOLID example of a 1927 Johnson Model K-35- this is a 6 horsepower water cooled opposed twin engine! This motor pulls over with good solid compression on both cylinders. I have not tried to start it up and run it. The fuel tank looks clean and includes the original (oil) measuring cap that is complete- this was used to measure the oil needed to mix the 2 stroke mixture needed for a tankful!

Speaking of the fuel tank, it's pretty nice, well above aveage conditon with just a few dings and small dents. Everything appears to be complete and in proper order the best I can tell. I would recommend cleaning the fuel tank, purging the line, checking over the carburetor and checking your magneto if the motor does not throw spark as you see it now. These magnetos were not known to be troublesome like newer OMC motors where the coils crack- these are old style components and generally a lifetime coil with rare exception. The only thing that I can see that this motor is missing is the tiller and the tiller mounting bracket. Those are not difficult to find and probably fit a variety of Johnson motors, not just the opposed K's in the late 1920s.
